Safety standards

ESKESEN floating action goods are produced using materials that comply with the following safety standards.

EN71 (Europe)

EN stands for European Standards, and EN71 refers to the "Safety of Toys" standard.
EN71 Part 3 establishes regulatory limits for eight hazardous heavy metals, taking into account scenarios where children might use the products. This standard aligns with Japan's ST Standards.

FDA (United States)

The oil used in floating goods is an FDA-approved mineral oil.

JIS Standards (Japan)

JIS S 6039 compliance
- Specifications for the quality of oil-based ballpoint pens and refills for oil-based ballpoint pens.

Retrobank Co., Ltd. is enrolled in product liability (PL) insurance within Japan　(Domestic only).

We aim to avoid using any toxic substances in the manufacture of our products and to reuse wherever possible.
For plastic products, we use some plant-derived materials and reuse materials.

The internal oil used is mineral oil.

[Ink]

Manufactured in the EU (Germany or Switzerland)
Waterproof, black/blue
700m ±20%, 0.8mm tip diameter

[Plastic]

The floating pen partially uses plant-based plastic (CAP) in its plastic components.

We are committed to safety and do not use the following materials in plastic components:

Heavy metals: Lead, cadmium, chromium, nickel, mercury, etc.
Halogen compounds: HBFC, PBB, TCB, PCN, PVC, etc.
Phthalates: DEHP, DOP, DINP, DIDP, DBP, BBP

*Due to specifications, the stopping position varies for each product.

*About long size pen tips

Since the ink core is released by turning the tip of the pen, there is a misalignment and gap at the joint.

If you push the ink core vertically or with force, the ink core will be pulled in, but this is normal and does not mean the product is defective.
